Your Home for Table Tennis in Coffs Harbour!

Coffs Table Tennis Club grew from a small number of players, playing at Coffs Ex-Services Club under their Sporting Clubs Network to the club it is today. Our space at the Coffs Ex-Services Club only allowed four tables to be set up and lighting was an issue in places. The tables had to be set up and put away for each session. Despite restrictions on playing times, under the guidance of one of our founding members, **Dale Allen**, player numbers grew steadily. Dale Allen was key to the establishment of our strong regional table tennis club over the next 25 years. His contribution was pivotal to where we are today.

We continued to play at Coffs Ex Services Club under those conditions until Coffs Council’s old museum premises at **189B Harbour Drive, Coffs Harbour**, became available in 2010. The Council did up the old museum as a table tennis venue and in April 2011 both clubs moved into the new location. Our Club's existing equipment and funds were provided to us by the Coffs Ex-Services Club to take with us. At the time of moving to the new premises, Coffs Table Tennis Club consisted of **20 members**. We have now grown to a membership of **62**. Coffs Harbour Table Tennis Club became an **incorporated sporting organisation in 2011**.

The use of the new venue is shared with The Coffs Harbour Over 50’s Table Tennis Club which had been playing at the Coffs Harbour Showground. They too were desperate for a new venue as their use of the showground premises was restricted. Both Table Tennis Clubs sorted out a cooperative working arrangement and continue to work well together now. The Coffs Table Tennis Club is one of only a few regional table tennis clubs with a permanent facility. The club has **eight permanent tables** and a **training room with robot facility**. We now have the capacity to run club competitions, fun social events and host interclub competitions within the region.
